Brief Description
A reader’s guide to Kuhn’s enormously influential book, designed to be read in conjunction with it. Among many other things, Wittgenstein’s influence upon Kuhn is explored, particularly in the sections concerning gestalt-switches and aspect-seeing. It is argued that Kuhn may have thought he was following the discussion of aspect-perception in Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations, but in fact Kuhn’s own account of this issue is rather different, and more problematic.
